Great job Frank especially with all the limitations that were put on you for this one hour hunt . Here's a pic of one of my not so good do it yourself Europen mounts but it was the only one I had saved, I have better. Just to give you a rough idear.

Great story!

I hunt public land mostly. Often, I get frustrated and pack it in when it seems no one cares( like the "hunters" on their ATVs @ 8am etc.) I'm hunting. Thank you for reminding me that pays to stay.

Congrats! I know how it is to hunt public land and the story of the guy with his dog is a very familiar one to me. And the guy shooting squirrels just before that perfect last hour of light is something we also have to contend with. Hats off to you for sticking it out and getting the buck. I always try to think when I have my spot walked across by somebody, well maybe they will move one my way.
