My son arrowed his first deer last night, a nice little doe!!!
He shot it at about 12 yards at an angle away from him, hit the paunch and the arrow went right over the heart and caught the back of one lung.
We tracked it in a thunderstorm for about an hour and finally I lost all blood and just walked the trail the deer was following and it was about 100 yards ahead on the trail. I am pretty proud of my boy, it is his first deer and he shot it with his PSE Nova. At age 13 he has been shooting all summer and has no problem shooting at 55lbs draw. I was skeptical and wanted to turn his bow down for hunting but he said he would not have any problems and I see that he was right. It was a clean shot through both sides with the arrow left in the deer for 60 yards.
We now have meat in the freezer and a son who is hooked on hunting!!! Pass on the heritage!! EVERYONE

Sorry about such a large pic but I am not sure how to resize it.
