I'm skeptical. I've seen other pictures of does with antlers and they looked like does with antlers. There is nothing about the body of that deer that says doe....perhaps it was a buck with "genetic" problems down below but I'm saying it wasn't a doe.....look at the neck and chest in pic two.

Bucks have wider chests and narrower hips, does have wider hips and narrower chests....that body says buck through and through...I wasn't there to field dress it so I can only go by what's said but I see a buck in velvet.

Could be Rob. I'm not sure of the specifics on anatomy. He did say it field dressed at 212 pounds and age was guessed at 5.5. Ohio DNR will give him details specifically when they do their thing on the carcas.

he did say it had no male genetalia and did have teats that looked as if it had been nursing. They did allow him to tag it as a doe at the check station as well.

WOW, that is interesting to say the least. We all know that mishaps occur in human reproduction as well as in nature. Quite possible to have a doe that is overwhelmed with testosterone that it took on the body size and structure of a buck including the headgear but yet gave birth and nursed....one lucky hunter on one heck of a nice uh? doe?[&:] Truly interesting.

Do you know if it had all female reproduction organs and did in fact nurse indicating that it had offspring? Might explain that one mousepad..LOL[8D][&:]
