Default limb sleeves

A friend of mine shoots a recurve bow and he has made a set of fur limb sleeves that cover the bow limbs I like them they protect and if he is walking throught the bush trees aren't making any noise when they rub over the bow I was wondering if it is possible to make a set and put them on my compound bow if not why? what would it do. I hope someone can answer this question because I am not a big fan of the tech. forum. thank you

Yes, I imagine you could make some for a compound. They used to have camo sleeves that went over the limbs before they started getting fancy camo paint jobs. It would be a big sponge for odor contamination though if you kept your bow in your house which I imagine most people do. It would also get drenched if it were raining and would weigh down the bow some.

Jay Gregory used to use some on his bow. I forget the name of them and can't say for sure that they're still being made, but I imagine so. The weren't fur, but did protect the limbs and helped reduce limb vibration.

Yup, they should work fine as long as they do not restrict in anyway.

Hoyt once made limb sleeves for their bows. They were constructed of some type of spongy material but were covered in camo to match the bow's color. I also believe that there is an accessory manufacturer who markets a limb sleeve to fit just about any bow. It is touted to not only reduce wear and tear on the limbs but also reduce noise and vibration as well. I forget the name but maybe someone else might remember.

My wife used to make limb covers for my wheeliebows. She'd take some camo cloth wide enough to wrap around the limbs with some overlap and allowance for hemming (I don't see why you couldn't use fake fur the same way if you want), stitch some elastic in each end to keep the ends snug, and put a few spots of velcro down the edges. Easy to put on/easy to take off for washing.

Neoprene , I think they're called Limb Skinz .
I looked at them but decided they were too much trouble with a takedown recurve , and they would carry odor .

I have a set of Bow Mufflers on my BK to protect the limbs from getting scratched and knocked about.

They are also great for keeping dust and crud out of the limb pockets.
