Default Dead Deer

Nope... it wasn't me. It was my buddy in NY. When I was bow hunting he was smokepole hunting last weekend. He sat in his stand, got antsy from seeing nothing except a doe he missed. He went riding an old logging trail. This buck walks out in front of his four wheeler and stands there at 40 yards. He got off the 4 wheeler, retrieved his smokepole from the scabbard/case on the back while "STUPID DEER" stands there looking at him. He dropped in his tracks. What's up with stupid deer?

I can't say if that deer was stupid or not......however....is your friend aware that it is illegal to have a loaded weapon on a motorized vehicle in New York? If he is caught, he will be heavily fined...as he should be.

That deer looks pretty old to be that stupid. I must have a herd of smart deer that I hunt.

Clint, while I am not from NY and do not claim to know their laws I will throw my 2 cents out there since yours came up... I know it is illegal here in va to have a loaded weapon in a vehicle.. however you can leave your blackpowder gum loaded while in transport.. it is considered unloaded if there is no cap on the gun. That way you dont have to shot it at the end of the days hunt as long as you take the cap off it...

Maybe Davidmils friend had his uncapped. Trying to give him the bennifit of the doubt and not jump up and point fingers.

David... tell your buddy to send some of those dumb deer down here to Va!! lol

AS long as there's no cap on it you're OK. I say there was NO cap on it.
