I have a three year old girl that I hope will hunt with me, and I'm told that we have a little boy thats due on FEB 1st. I can't wait!!!!!!

Good for your son and for you! Like Bird Hunt Dog, I have a little girl and I'm hoping that she goes with me when she gets older. I remember deer hunting with my dad and grandfather and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Very special memories...

Didn't see where you said what he was shooting. My 8 year old shot a squirrel with a 20 guage this year, and the kick ws too much for him. I don't know when he will be big enough to get behing it with some buckshot or slugs, or get behind a rifle. Time will tell. Of course he'll be getting a new bow this Christmas. Something with a bit more pep than the one he has now.

Congrats. A forty yard shot is quite a way especially for a 9 year old!
