Way to go Muzzyman,Glad to hear the meats on the ground and in the freezer,I'm sure your doe is well worth the cost of an arrow and a head .I've never used the snyper but I know a few guy's who do and they like them as well.

There was a 3" wide gash on both sides from that head. The bummer of it was, I never did find my arrow as it went into some brush and richoceted into neverland.
Not trying to mock anything in your post. I do find these heads interesting, but how can a 1 3/8 inch head do this?

Congrats on your deer.
Bob, The way the Snypers open on impact (not through impact) the blades are pushed open fully before folding back. When folded back they are 1 3/8" but when fully open the are much more, I'd have to measure to note it here but on an angles shot they could very well make a 3" hole....I've seen it as well.

Bob...........not trying to answer for Rob.........but it's all about the way the blades open !
When it hits the blades snap open to probably around 3" and the slide back and stay at 1 3/8 " ! They are 5/8" closed .........snap to about 3" .........and then come out at about 1 3/8 " ...............at least on the deer I shot anyway !

Congrats on the deer. I've used Snypers in the past and had very good luck with them. I'm using Spitfires now, but wouldn't hesitate to go back to the Snypers.

If you like the Snyper, you should try its big brother the Gator XP. It has 2" blades, I liked the snyper but on occasion the rubber band would fall off one of the blades. The gator does not use rubberbands.
