RE: Rattle bag vs. antlers your opinion
I used to use real antlers as well because i didn't think a bag could produce the same sound but this year my father picked up a bag and grabed one for me as well(knight and hale was the make) I was astonished how good the bag sounded I can not tell the difference between the bag I have and my real antlers and they are a heck of alot easier to pack.

I really like the sound of a pair of real antlers, but they are such a pain to pack.
I have 2 different bags, a Knight and Hale and a BowTech Rattle bag and to be honest (Not being a "Homer") I like the sound of the BowTech one better.
I will give it a definite try in Illinois in 2 weeks. Fit nicely in the top of my Catquiver.
Here in PA I have honestly never really had a whole lot of luck with the horns or bags, due to the pressured nature of the deer and the fact that typically we have a buck to doe ratio that has hovered around 1/5000.

Where I hunt, it's more like 1/50,000

I prefer real antlers. I like the sound better and the volume they produce. As mentioned they suck to carry though. most of the time if I know I'll be hunting a specific stand again as my next hunt I leave them hanging right in my tree.
