RE: Rattle bag vs. antlers your opinion

Ive heard that deer can tell where the rattle is coming from (tree or ground). So I have antlers on a string haning below my stand. I can just shake the string to make them rattle. I havent noticed any difference though.

I used to use real antlers, but I really appreciate the convenience of the rattle bag. I think real antlers sound just a bit better, but the bag is close enough-especailly considering the ease of transport. Last year, I rattled in one of the biggest bucks I've seen using the bag.

I personally use real antlers and wouldn't give them up for anything.

I have both but one advantage to real antlers you can rub them up against trees. The bag easy to carry and pack.

I used to use a moose antler I picked up in AK and a Four point shed but they took up so much room in my bag and there's the safety issue of carrying them outside of a bag that I switched to the rattle bag. With both of them, in my area, the only thing that comes to them are does. That may be good but grunt calls seem to work better on bucks.
