RE: Taking a "deuce" in the woods while hunting.

I have only done it once during rifle season and there was a foot of snow no visible logs and I had on baggy white coverals, lets just say when I was done my coverals were not regulation white anymore. so from that point on I never eat anything that is going to have to come out in any kind of a hurry the day before a hunt and I make sure I have a double deuce before I leave for a hunt. ( the truck ride home was the worst):D:D:D:(

Ditto on the spicy food the night before! Done the usuall thing in the morn before left for hunting site, but in the stand 15 min and the walk in must have got it going so back down and to a creek with a log hanging over it. Well just bout time the clean up was done (yep had paper ) I look about 20 yards in front of me and there stands a coyote watching. Talk about getting the bibs up fast and back to the tree. When I got in the stand I looked to where he was and he was gone, but looked toward the creek and the thing was ankle deep in water slowly walking toward a suprise! 1 sniff and it bolted up the bank and ran through the woods quick.

One of the best and funniest things that has happened while hunting.

Pretty hilarious thread. I guess I'm lucky. I've never had to take a deuce while in the woods. Sounds to good to be true huh?

I wanted to try and make it look PC right off the bat, but I thought the board needed a funny thread to break up everything.

I find a log away from my stand and get cozy. Well, not to cozy. I make it short and sweet. If I have to go bad enough to not wait it's a pretty quick deed.

Oh yeah, Watch out for poison ivy.;)

Well, unfortunately, it has happened to me several times. I usually try to get as far away from my stand as possible, and then bury it.

A couple of years ago, I couldn't make it very far. A couple of hours later, I heard a deer blow. As I looked, I saw a doe waving bye with her tail.

I had to go one morning. I walked to where I thought it would be safe. After I took care of business I hunted some more. My buddy sat in my stand that night. Of course he shot a little doe. Since it was early he field dressed and drug out all by himself. When I got to the shed that night to see his deer I smelled something. YUP He drug his deer right through it.
I did not help skin that night.

Had to let one fly twice in the last 3 years right off the stand because I could not fight it anymore. The old man climber's foot rest is perfect for turning around and sitting on to let one go if you must. Always carry a little toilet paper in my pack. That lesson cost me a T shirt the first time.
