.....it feels so good to be back in the stand. It has been a long wait, but well worth it. Went out this morning and only saw a spike and doink 6 but I had a great time. Although I didn't have any luck with harvesting one this morning a buddy of mine did. He has been patterning a deer for about 3 weeks coming off an alfalfa field at first light nearly every morning. Just as planned he came through giving him a 25 yard shot. We put tape on him and he grossed 159 6/8 and netted 150 3/8. What is even more impressive is that he only has a 14 inch inside spread. He has 3 tines over 12 inches, it is one of the most unique racks I have seen. They aged him at only 3 1/2 years old. I will work on getting a pic of him and post it.

sounds like a great opener, hope the rest of ya'lls season is this good, can't wait to see the pics...........
