RE: Horizontal vs Vertical pin sights
I love the round sight housing simply because it allows me the opportunity to "frame" the glow/reflective ring on these round housings perfectly with my peep sight. This in turn gives me one more consistenet reference and enables me to shoot better than I ever did with the ol' traditional rectangular sight heads. Also as many of you know, I'm a huge fan of ViPins. I have loved the vertical pin concept since getting that first TR Flatliner. That was a few years ago and since than I've used many other different models of ViPin sights and I can honestly say that these sights have indeed improved my "game". I shoot better and more consistent on game animals and on 3D critters with these great sights. The vertical sight post naturally floats right up my targets legs to find the sweet spot nearly everytime. It also naturally helps the hunter not cant his bow or torque as well. It is a sight system that I for one have been very pleased with and there have been many folks whom I've helped get set-up with different ViPins sights and it seems that the majority of these archers are still using and loving these sights. However, I will add that there are some folks.... like above... who just personally never really warm up to the concept. For some it's simply because they have shot the "traditional" way for so many years they it becomes somewhat difficult for them to adapt. Others shy away for no other reason that fearing change. I say... IF you are like the vast majority of bowhunters that I have had experience with, then you'll love this sight concept. Give it a try and I think you'll be very pleased. Good luck and good shootin'
