lone wolf tree stand vs ol man
hey guys i have a ol man climbing tree stand and a friend of mine has both the lone wolf and the ol man. he loves the ol man because its very safe but you make noise putting it up. he loves the lone wolf becasue of no noise but he has to change his underwear everytime he is on it because there is no rail and he said its really scary. i noticed that lone wolf makes anouther one with a better seat and it has a rail? what do you guys like and pro's and cons of each

RE: lone wolf tree stand vs ol man
As I've said before. I have a Lone WOlf Hand Climber.
Pros:
It is quiet, very portable, great climber, stable in the tree & easy to use with no foot stirrrups to try and wiggle your boots into.
Cons:
Pricey, does not have "all day" comfort. and as you mentioned some don't like the fact it has no front rail. I never had a stand with a front rail so I can't comment.
As for the Ole'man..I can't comment or compare the two as I have never tried one.

Your friend has the Lone Wolf hand climber. The Lone Wolf SitnClimb model has the front bar which helps in climbing and can be swung down or in front of you after reaching your chosen hunting height. Any climbing stand that uses a bar or some sort of apparatus that can be sat on to aid in climbing is easier.

I love the Ol'man climber and mine makes zero noise when putting it on a tree, climbing a tree and standing in a tree.....your friend should give his the once over......
