Hey Mahoning where ya at? I'm in Boardman too.
Let's see 18 Bucks, 1 antlered doe with 4 points, 1 unantlered doe it was my first at age 12 with a Flintlock.
So 20 is my Total.

I know this is just for fun, but I don't think this poll tells us anything. Maybe we should make it a poll of P&Y bucks taken.
But for the record 16 years 56 deer. Most of which have been with a gun

It's not something I really like to discuss, what difference does it make? I don't see how the amount of deer you have taken is much of an indicator to how good you are. There are a lot of variables to the equation like your style of hunting, where you hunt, how often you hunt, and stuff like that. Some Don't have very good places to hunt, and the deer just are not there, or they have to hunt areas that are very pressured which makes it harder. Some work alot and just don't get the chance to be out there, and obviously the more you are out, the better your odds are. Others just aren't in it for the numbers game and either don't keep track, or are fairly selective about what they shoot. And some states have restrictions on the amount of deer and the size of the deer you can take.
I'm pretty knew at this, this season will be my fourth year actually hunting deer. In the three previous years I have taken 4 deer, two with a bow and and two with an inline during regular gun season. The first year I hunted I took a nice 7 point with my bow on opening day half an hour after I got in the stand. It was a great property that hadn't been hunted for years and the deer didn't seem to mind me being there. The next year I didn't see much during bow season because I had to hunt a different property with 5 other people. I saw a few deer, but none would get close enough to get a shot off. I took a 10 point during gun season though. Last year I shot a doe off the ground with my bow, and took a 8 point during gun season.
I only want one deer a year for the most part, if I don't get one during bow season I take one during gun. I shot the doe last year because I wanted the pelt and I wanted to see if I could get away with shooting her off the ground (I was walking back to my stand when I saw her). I gave the meat away. I'm pretty challenged during bow season due to not owning any land and not making enough money to lease any. I also can't afford to take the time off work just to hunt, so I am limited to hunting evenings when I am not too tired to do it. Not to mention I'm new and just not that good at it yet. I don't have any trouble shooting the deer, I'm solid on the archery part. I just need to hone my hunting skills a bit more I guess.
On the other hand I have a dream place to hunt for gun season. It's pretty much a given I will see deer then. However I have restrictions there, no does and the buck has to be at least a seven point, and I only get one. Owners rules, so I abide by them.
A better question would be How many deer could you have shot? I have friends that could tag out the first week of bow season if they wanted, they are just waiting around for something better is all. And states like Ohio you only get one deer anyway. MI we can take two bucks and pretty much as many does as you want on private land. You can buy a doe tag every day until they run out in your DMU. At least that's how it was last year, I don't know if they changed anything or not this year.

OLD... 34 years bowhunting, killed a lot more than I am years old. I always said I wanted to have more kills than I'm old. I could not kill anything for the rest of my life with the bow and still be ahead, at least for another 20 years.

24 bowkilled deer in 16 years. But probably 20 of those in the past 10 years.
While I too agree that the number of deer killed doesn't neccessarily mean how good one is, it is still interesting to see. Where it really comes into play is when talking about tracking, and controlling emotions during the shot.
