This is embarrassing but will give you a good answer. Two years ago I shot a 10PT with rifle right under my stand. waited aprox 30 min got down and spooked the deer up about 100 yds away. It had layed down and was bleeding. he ran off and could not find him. The next morning I sat in the same stand and right at daybreak a 10 PT buck came in looking right at my stand, I shot him, he dropped. Got to the deer and his nose was blown off. Point is although spooky, the deer came back the next day.

As long as the area isn't contaminated with your scent I think it will come back.
