Default Electronic game calls

I notice that most game call companies have an electronic calling device on the market.

Does anyone use them and if so, do they work any better than the old fassion hand held calls? Or maybe they do not work at all.

Also currious as to which states do not allow them?

I made my own by downloading wav files of different deer sounds and burning them on a Disc. Then I titled all the tracks as to which call they were. Bought some cheapo amplified speakers from Radio Shack and a cheapo CD player from Walmart.

To me the calls sounded great. To the doe that heard it at 75 yards - it must've sounded like a starter pistol because she started sprinting the other direction FAST!

I think my idea has merit but the wave files could have had some background noise that I couldn't hear and the speakers amplified it? Or the calls I downloaded were just bad? Or the volume needed to be much lower. Either way - I'm leaving the CD player in my garage this year and bringing my grunt tubes back out.

It's hard to say what scared the deer off. Sometimes the real thing scares them off! Electronic calls are illegal l here in KY except for Crows and Predators.

Illegal to use most places in Canada...Some people think it is unethical but isn't anything MAN-MADE and high tech un-ethical to some degree.

Such as...

Fiber Optic multiple sight pins

range finders

binoculars

quads(which I HATE and think should be BANNED outright)

radios

the list can go on and on all day long

Basically unless your dropped off in the woods buck naked and make your own bow and arrows you are using something man made to get an advantage on the animal...
