My daughter and I were out having a target session together, after we retrieved my arrows, we walked through a small parcel of woods that adjoining my house to scout a little, for a "just in case" stand location. We found plenty of sign and after making the circl and were walking down our gravel road. One of my neighbors sees me and gave his normal warm and friendly greeting, and says out with the little one?! I in return said yeah were looking for deer. At this point he sees my hip quiver and exploded at me. Apparently he is anti hunting and thinks that this rural area is some special subdivision that is closed to hunting and target practicing. What a joke. He even yelled at me that if he even saw me shooting my bow again hed go to my landlord, whom gave me hunting permission on the 8 acres, and complain. What a joke!!!!! Just had to vent a little!

[:@] Sure hate the tree huggers. We have those kind near me, and in one area the deer will actually come up to your vehicle looking for food. Oh, forgot to mention that the people feeding the deer are seasonal visitors and in the winter a bunch of the "friendly" deer die because they are used to being feed by the now absent benefactors. But thats okay, as long as you don't put an arrow in them. I just wish some people would keep there veiws to themselves.

Yea, I don't know where these people get such irrational views. Bowhunting especially becasue it causes no noise, no harm to the enviroment and probably reduces the amount of deer eating his shrubs and bushes. There one sided views start to get annoying after awhile but I don't know what you can do to change their minds. Good luck.

Pray that he gets Lymes or one of the 30 other nasty diseases ticks carry or that it's his Volvo that takes on the deer and looses.

At least you know you don't have any competition out of him. He will feel differently the next time the grill on his car is full of deer!!!

If he harrasses you again in the future call the sheriff and have him hauled to jail. There are laws that protect hunters from anti's. Man I bet you wanted to kick his butt especially making a scene in front of your daughter!

Simply ask him if he is a vegetarian.........if he is then tell him that you can respect his views but it will not change yours. If he's NOT a vegetarian then tell him that you choose to provide food for your family by yourself rather than pay someone else to do the killing for you...like he does.
Ask him if he condemns slaughterhouses, or fast food joints..hell ask him if he knows exactly how a beef cow is killed for market.
Ask him if he hangs an 8X10 of ol' bessy on his wall to honor the animal that just fed his family.
