I have taken 5 deer within the last 6 years with my bow.

I've shot about 15 deer with a bow. That doesn't tell you much though. Just last season I passed up 24 bucks, all shot opportunities with-in 30 yards. Doe chances, I have no idea......lots!

I'm really having a hard time believing all of this hogwash............

I hunt in very good conditions. Killed 3 bucks, and 1 doe last year and all with gun. I huntend bow and muzzle loader seasons with a bow and only got 1 shot. NO DEER.

Our hunting is very good down here, are you guys making up all those kills??

I've shot 14 whitetails with a bow and only 3 of these have been bucks. Here in WV bow season is my favorite time to be in the woods. It's a good chance to try to thin the doe population and watch the bucks.

Hogwash? You wouldn't want to bet the farm on that one, would you? There are such things as documented tags/licenses in Maryland. I can't speak for other States.

"Show me the money" and I'll show you the proof.:) Just kidding -- but not about the number of bow kills in Maryland.

Groundhunter.... NOPE. The numbers are real enough.
Take Len, he shot 3 within about 20 seconds one day last year.
These two bucks and a doe that went the long way
out of the woods so we didn't include her in the picture. The bucks
dropped within a few yards of each other.
He only shot 23 or something like that last year.
I know, I hunt with him. I just shoot a few and quit.
THis particulare day I was on my way back from a NY
bowhunting trip. I got a frantic call on my cell, "I need help.

I don't know the exact amount, but I guess I avg about 2-3 per year. I guess around 30+. In the last few years....I pass many more deer than I take, mainly because I just don't feel like fooling with them. It's all fun though, regardless of the kill or not.

I agree that this is prob. not the best place to test a "Have you harvested a deer with a bow theory".
