I have given up, and gone to the darkside...
Well, I did the unthinkable tonight... after many months of flat-out lousy shooting with my new liberty, I went to my local shop and ended up walking out with a new Mathews. I tried them all (outback, LX, Legacy, etc), and the Icon was the one I "connected" with - 29", 60 lbs. I don't think I've felt this way since I met my wife... this could be the real thing.
Not to bash the liberty - it was and still is a great bow, but I couldn't seem to ever get it together with it. Granted I don't have prize winning form, and am not about to win any 3-D titles, so I realize 99% of the difficulties I've encountered were probably in my hands or head. It's just that the Icon seemed to fit me a lot better than the Liberty. I still give kudos to Bowtech for making great products, but I learned the hard way that what other people like and shoot well doesn't necessarily equate to success for me.
Looks like the Liberty will be hanging on the consignment rack at the shop - 29", 60 lbs.
BTW, what is a fair asking price for this bow with an original trophy taker on it?
Just learned a big $$$ lesson,
Bill

you have done well . i love my mathews f/x. i looked around when my old browning top limb split and i could not find a new or used one. the warranty really clinched it for me and other mathews owner i knew personally were all very happy with their bows. i don't understand why you say you went to the dark side???

Congrats on your new bow purchase. Sounds like you found your ride.
You never know until you spend the money.
Kinda sucks that way, but that's how it goes.
I've got a $22,000 car in the garage the wife and I don't neccessarily like.
Lesson learned the hard way I guess.

I was afraid you'd traded in your bow for a bushmaster. You didn't enter the dark side quite yet. I'd call it dusk Good luck with your new bow. I hope you find what you're after in the Icon.
