Need quiver recommendation

I purchased the Alpine Archery 3 arrow quiver b/c it was quiet, light and compact. Amazingly enough, it will not hold three broadheads. Three field points are fine, but broadheads will not fit w/o rubbing or hanging up on the plastic cover.

I really don't want a larger, bulkier quiver so if you can recommend something light, small, quiet and durable, I would appreciate it. I use muzzy 3 blades, 100 gr, so it would need to accommodate them.

The Tru-Glo Axis quivers are compact and might be worth a look.

This may be better off as a new thread, but I'm just curious. Do you (or anyone for that matter) leave your quiver on while on stand? I never practice with it on, and immidiately take it off once I'm strapped in.

I have several hooks into my stands. If i'm working light, I'll just pop my quiver off and hang it on that, if not, I'll hang my backpack on a hook, and put the quiver in there.

I do keep a small quiver hanging directly off my stands. within reach for that never wanted, sometimes needed arrow.

For the record, the quiver hold five arrows, 3 broadheads, one squirrel, and one convulitued hybred for turkeys.

my edit - the reason I suggested that this might be a topic for a new thread is just that it seems that in every single pic in every single mag I look at, the hunters are shooting with the quivers attached. I never have, and have been genuinely curious as to what people prefer. I guess it's just what your used to.

I just put an Alpine Bearclaw on my bow this year and I think I like it a lot. Quiet, holds arros securely and easy on and off.

I've been using the 4 arrow Bohning Lynx. So far, so good.

I do and here's my recomendation. Get the smallest two piece quiver made by the manufacture of your bow. I for years I never shot my bow with the quiver on. I'd get in stand, take it off and hang it but since switching to a 3 arrow two piece quiver, I don't even know it's there. What would you do if you have a chance to put a stalkon a good buck. Shoot with your quiver on or take it off. If you miss and need a second shot, then what? Where is your quiver?

I'm a firm believer that a bow should have a quiver attached. I believe the two parts should come together as one and when you look at your"bow" the quiver should naturally be there. I'm probably in the minority by from my experiences I wouldn't look at my "bow" in any other way.

I just bought one of these. I am not sure I like it. First, the bracket is huge, and appears to be designed to use 4 screws. I can only use 2 with my sight. Second, the quiver has a lot of movement in the bracket. I am wishing I had gone with a Lynx.

I've never liked a quiver on the bow. Mostly due to vibration, even if only slight. There's a number of other good reasons too. Personally, I like the Kwikee quiver. It can be attached / detached in seconds without tools. They offer a second quiver bracket that allows you to mount it to any fixed object. I have used them on trees and attached to my stand. Keeps the arrows within reach and out of your way at the same time. Nothing extra to see or hear on my rig. They also come in a ton of camo patterns and are realitively inexpensive.

I'd have my quiver on my bow, I was asking the question about being on stand, not on the stalk.
