Thanks for all the congrats. It feels really good to finally say I took one home. As most of you "old timers" on the board remember I lost one the year before and I've done everything I can to make sure I don't repeat that experience. I actually do have an elk tag, but based on how my arrow performed on the buck I'm a little hesitant to tackle an elk. Not sure what to think about the penetration deal.

Congatulations Lady Arwen...that's a fine job indeed and I too would love to see a pic.....to bad you weren't in the bowhunting contest...you'd have the first one entered.....and making all the other teams scramble...LOL

Congrats on your first deer.
Your post is almost the same as what happend to my wife last Saturday. My wife shot her first deer with a bow on Saturday. She shot a 4x3 mule deer in full velvet. My wife's arrow made a full pass through.
