Inserts came out
I went out to shoot my brand new ACC arrows for the first time yesterday. After 5 shots I went to get my arrows out of the target and every insert had fallen out. [:@] Needless to say, I'm going to take them back to the "pro" shop to get them re-glued.
My question is will this hurt the arrow shaft, having the inserts come out like that when hitting a target? I can't see any damage, but that is only with my naked eye.

RE: Inserts came out
I don't shoot A/C/C shafts but that shouldn't have damaged the shaft. I've had issues in the past with inserts blowing out when I let the proshop assemble my shafts.
No more! I have them sent as components and I assemble them myself. You know the saying. If you want something done right....

No, your shafts should not be damaged and it sounds like your shop didn't take the right precautions or procedure for gluing inserts into said arrows. They probably simply cut and glued without preparing the insides free of dust from cutting and/or didn't use the right glue.
Like you said, take them back and tell them to do it right......

Nice picture David. More appealing to me than some of the others you have presented in the past.
As for the inserts....it could also be the glue utilized. Some places will just use a 'super glue" style of adhesive to attach the inserts. This is not recommended as it tends to break down rather quickly when used in this particular applicaton. A 24 hour or two part epoxy usually works the best.
Good luck.
