RE: Head Light??
Pay the money, get a Petzl headlamp. There are numerous designs. Led or flood or both. I have a few headlamps, from setting dec's for Duck Hunting to Deer hunting field dressing in the dark they are a handy tool.

If you wear a hat with a bill on it you might want to check out the Stylus by Streamlight. I am using one this year and have tested it and it works pretty well. It clips on the bill of your cap and works similar to a headlamp. I picked up the green LED light and according to the literature deer can't see that color light........not real sure that is correct, but that is what they say. Good Luck |

You certainly were impressed with that headlamp I had when you followed me into the woods that last dark morning. Remember what you didn't see?:D |
RE: Head Light??
Both Petzel and Prinston Tec make good headlamps. I do a lot of hiking at night and I primarly use a prinston tec solo lamp. It's light and with the incadesent bulb it isn't bad on batteries. I can get about 6 hours from 2aa batteries. If you ise the halogen bulb it will easily cut battery life in half. You'll get more light but it isn't necessary.
