My wife got her first bow kill, 4x3 mulie buck.
My wife took up archery this year. She got tired of watching me hunt while she sat on the sidelines until rifle season. We elk hunted opening morning until around 10:30am. When we were hiking back to the truck, we jumped three mule deer bucks. The last buck of the three stopped, turned broadside & looked back. My wife let one fly @ 25-yards. The mule deer buck is a 4x3, 20"-wide & 17"-tall. The arrow passed thru. The buck ran a total of 114-yards before hitting the ground. This buck was still in full velvet. The other two bucks had rubbed there velvet off. This is her largest buck to date. If I ever figure out how to post a picture I will.
She is shooting a Hoyt SierraTec set at 50-pounds, Gold Tip arrows & 75-grain Rocky Mountain broadheads.

Congradulations to you both. My fiance is planning on going hunting with me a few times this year. She is starting with squirrels and working her way up. She still thinks deer are too cute to shoot though. She wants a bow, says she wants to shoot 3-D, but we all know that shootin foam leads to shootin the real thing. Just hope she doesnt out do me in the woods. Who's more proud of the mulie you or your wife, bet you feel like a proud father.
