a treestand. I've seen it before it catalogs, can't remember where. It's a small stand or even a seat device. It's placed between 2 trees that are close together and snaps into place when weight has been put on it. It's made from steel ( I think) and is made to stand on or even sit. Can anyone help me? I'd like to purchase a few and can't find them anywhere. I would like to know the manufacturer or place to purchase. Thanks.

I know what you are talking about. It is a wedge platform that fits in between a Y in a tree. I just looked in the Cabela's catalog and didn't see it. I haven't seen it in a while. Maybe they discontinued it. Didn't look to be too comfortable.

Here is one in an E-Bay store. And for 20 bucks.

It used to be on the market under a different name, Wedge Lock or something like that. I have to tell you though, you'd be better off with a small hang on. This thing is just waiting to dump some poor soul out. It has VERY limited application. Anything that only has one point of contact on the one end is prone to twisting if you get weight near the edges. It really is a killer, even with a safety harness. I don't wear a safety harness because I know something is going to happen.... only in case something odd does happen. This thing almost guarantees a mishap.
