I wondered why that cat wouldn't have sprung already. I'm no cat expert, but from every outdoor show I've ever seen and watching our own three cats stalk and catch birds, chipmunks, etc. they would never get that close to their prey without going into full lunge, chase, and pounce mode. Just my two cents.

Definitely an interesting series of pictures. At first I wanted to jump on the "it can't be real" band wagon but that second pic definitely adds some credence to it.

Just an FYI, HuntingNet forum member Hill Hopper built the camera that took this picture. The elk picture is photoshopped, good job at it too. The pictures were taken by Dave Stevens in Oregon who bought the camera off of Hill Hopper. These pictures and more are on Hill Hoppers webpage at this LINK
