One of the deer I took this last year was a lest than perfect shot. Only got one lung and then busted the shoulder leaving. The deer went about 100 yards. I am shooting RM Snyper 125's with a Mathews Q2 at 68#.

The only shot I made with them on game was text book perfect. they have however survived my steel drum test's, radial tire tests, and 3/4" plywood without any problems. I have found the snypers to be an excellent mechanical head, very sharp blades, and penitration is great.

I shot and recovered two deer with them last year, had poor penatration on both and both were hit center chest. Both were recovered within 40 yards.

I shot a deer with them last year that didn't pass through because it hit the should blade on the opposite side. The broadhead smashed through the shoulder though and we found the deer within 70 yards. Another deer tried jumping the string and I caught her in the spine and she dropped right there. On the two deer that I shot that ran off with these broadheads the bloodtrail was less than desireable. I won't be using them this year.

Interesting. I read your posts and glad that I did. In the magazine article this month in Bow and Arrow Hunting, they had an article that was exclusively for broadheads. They ranted over this broadhead. Knowing what I know now, no need to try. I believe that going to the source is the best practice. Either way, we owe to the animal and our sport.

Airborne, I think you may be making a mistake in at least trying them. I have tested close to 30 differnt broadheads, and in the mechanical catagory the Rocky Snypers stand out head and shoulders above the rest! They are in my opinon( based on a lot of testing) the finest mechanical head on the market. I have also recived numerous emails concerning the snypers and ever one has been positve. If your bow has at least 55 ft/lbs of KE, I think the snypers will work very well for a mechanical head. If you are shooting less than 55 ft/lbs then pick up a pack of Muzzys and don't look back. If you have any questions feel free to email me.
