I like areas where several trails cross or intersect. The more trails you've got the better your chances. If you find a hot scrape, try to set your stand in the primary downwind direction about 50 yards or so, as many times mature bucks will circle downwind to check a scrape and may or may not come in depending on if the scrape has been worked by a hot doe. By positioning your stand downwind of the scrape you may see deer you wouldn't have seen had you placed your stand closer to the scrape.
