my dad has a bear bow in the garage....i think 65 or 70lb pull back...its a lil older looking....his friend gave it to him but my dad quit bow hunting....im looking to start shooting/hunting with a bow....the bow only needs a few things...like a quiver and lil things...it is shootable...tho im putting a new string coz its worn in some places...rather be safe than hurt...is this bow good to start with?? or should i buy a new bow???

I agree, take it to a good proshop, and see if it fits you, or can be made to fit you. They will also be able to recomend some other items that will help you out. the advice you get will be priceless, provide it's a good shop.

mauser I have a bear that is about 11-12 years old, it shoots just fine, as the others have said take it to a bow shop and get it set up for you.

ok guys thanx...thats what we were gunna do is get it fitted for me and the stuff it needs....thanx...not sure what kind it is i will look next time im out in the garage...
