It shouldnt have to be like this
Well, for the first time in my life, I'm glad bow season doesnt start until mid-October. I shoot my bow a few times this evening, and notice towords the end of my shooting session that my bow is vibrating for some reason. I give it a good inspection, and find the cause- a 6" crack down the bottom limb, under the vibrablock, so I know its not just a blemish in the paint. I took it into the shop, and they called Bowtech this evening, and I should be shooting again in a week or so. The shop was nice enough to offer me a loaner bow since I personally know the guy, but I think I'll just use the time to set up some treestand and take a break from shooting since I was actually beginning to get target panic again. And besides, my BT release should arrive by then. [:@][:'(]

Hmmmm! Another cracked lower limb on a Bowtech. Hmmmm! No sweat! Bowtech has great service.....everytime a limb fails. Apparently, three more failed lower limbs and Bowtech will replace your bow.

I'm still at a los as to why this happens right before the season[:@]. I hope BT can get a replacement limb out to you quickly and get you shooting again.
Where are you that the season dosn't open until Oct?

Yep, those were the new 80 lb limbs. Here in W V we have a bad overpopulation problem, so our brilliant state decides to not let us hunt until the middle of October.
Yeah, I know what the guy was thinking too. Trying to convert me over to a Mathews Ovation... Aint gonna happen. [8D]

Sorry to hear about your limb this close to hunting season. If you can talk your dealer into it, ask him to CLOSELY examine the limb pivots when he has your bow apart. Check to see if they are flat on the limb side and not cracked anywhere. I'd also keep track of which one came from the bottom and put it in the top limb pocket when re-assembling the bow. This might be a way to document problems in the future,, should anything happed again

I had my cables snap a week before the season began one year. Talk about panic! I nearly had to bribe the owner of the bowshop to get it fixed in time, but I was ready on the opener.
You're lucky it's going to be fixed this quickly and you'll have enough time to be prepared. Good luck.
