I recently bought the portable Block. After seeing the fieldtips go into the block about 10 inches I am nervous shooting $10 broadheads into the Block. I am afraid I won't get them back out, and not to mention the damage that will be done to the it.
Thanks

I buy the cheap foam targets from places like Walmart. Usually around $15-20. Only gripe is I have to unscrew the heads before pulling out the arrows.

I do the same as Jeremy. I have a 6" high density foam target that I shoot broadheads into. As mentioned the only drawback is having to take the head off to pull the arrows. It's not a big deal but can be time consuming.

Um, er, uh, I WAS shooting my XX75's w/125gr Thunderheads into one of those Black Hole targets. It didn't stand up to the abuse and the center bullseye got destroyed quicker than I thought. ....what a $49.95 P.O.S.! [:@] I have since spray painted a white bullseye on the backside of the Black Hole and carefully shoot my field tips into that.

The Block won't hurt your broadheads, but your broadheads will hurt you block. It's a great target for fieldpoints, but broadheads destroy it fast. I use the Mcenzie for broadhead practice also, and a cheap foam target for 1 or 2 shots each with my hunting arrows, just to make sure they're flying true.
