I have a big question. Has anyone used buckgrub? Does it work well? Any really nice bucks seen during a hunting season? Also i heard that you had to keep it dry. Is this true? How do you keep it out of the rain.

Forget the win, Just hunt. YES, YES, Yes Buck Grub works for me. Been using it a couple years. I pour it in foot long strips about 6 inches wide and put a piece of 2x12 lumber on top of it. If I don't the Woodies eat it all. They get their little beaks under the board anyway but can't flip the board. The deer love it. I made a "free choice" feeder for it a couple weeks ago, its working fine. I took a plastic 10 gallon bucket and cut a hole on one side at the bottom then screwed a 1x12 shelf to the bottom and trimmed the edges of the shelf with quarter round. I suspend it about 3 and a half feet off the ground with a rope over a tree branch. Keeps it away from the Hogs. They ate it all in about a week.

Lots of designer foods out there to choose from. Corn is like candy to Deer and at under $5 for 40/50 lbs how can you go wrong. I have played with the grubs, sauces, dips, etc. but I end up back to corn. I place a couple of salt licks around as well.
