Default Walls on a Platform Stand

Hey all,
I know this sounds bad but i still dont have my stand up for this bow season which opens Sep 18 in WI. I am going to build a platform stand about 12' high between three trees and i was planning on putting some walls on it but didn't know how high up they should be. I realize that if they are too high they will impede on any shot really close to my stand. i was thinking maybe like 2' or 2' 1/2 ? Does this sound like a good idea or am i just wasting my time. Im super pumped!

Are you going to shoot sitting down, or standing up? Only you can answer that question.

Sitting down, I'd say, height of wall should be to your midsection. Standing shots, build to midsection while standing. You'll need clearance for your bow while at draw and aiming downwards, so also build the walls outward.

Kindest regards,

Whatever height you decide on, allow 4 to 6 inches of space at the bottom. If you don't you will have trouble cleaning all the leaves & sticks that will fall into it.

With an open space all around the bottom you can sweep them out!

I don't use actual walls. I use water pipe and make a railing system. Them I wrap with camo material. Allow for the leaves to go out, and when attached with U-bolts, height is fully adjustable.
