I have all of August and I would like to bow hunt some big game next year in the first part of August. I am from Maine but I plan to take a road trip out West. Does anyone know of an open season in August?

Fall bear opens Aug 15th in Ontario Canada.

I believe that bow season opens in California in July...Somebody on here has already been posting pics of kills from this years season.

Some states out west have early antelope hunts also.

Oregon Black Bear opens Aug 1st and antalope opens the 15th. And there is also cougar which is open all year except like june. And deer and elk open in the end of august. 28th this year next saturday oh yeah baby except I wont be able to go except for maybe a couple of hours here and there then in mid sept. I am going to be out for about 6 days.

Maryland's deer comes in round the 15th of august, eventhough it's south.

Muzzy... some of us are hunting on crop damage permits.

Arizona's archery deer season usually opens mid-August. You can bowhunt world record class mulies in the Az Strip (north rim of the Grand Canyon).
