Is it wise to put trail cams close to your stands?

I think you have to assume the camera - or maybe even your presence checking the camera, can spook the deer you are after. I would not put a camera where I intended to hunt - until maybe just after the season - but It would probably be close by, on the same trail, or nearby one - or a food source.
I don't think the deer are able to relate the camera, to being hunted by humans- in the same sense that they do to detecting human presence. In fact I think we often give them too much credit. For instance - I've seen deer spook when a branch fell - but I would think it unlikely that they would avoid branches there-after - do you follow me?
Anyways - I play it safe - and do not put my camera near funnel areas or treestands in or close to season.
