If you had to bow hunt a DIFFERENT state, which one???

If you COULDN'T bow hunt your own state for a year and had to hunt another state or country for that matter where would you go and why??

Tell us what state you live in and where you would go.

I am from OHIO and if I had to hunt else where:(

I think I would like to go hunt Saskatchewan and hunt up north. I love those BIG bodied deer they have up there. I would love to arrow a 275+ pounder regardless of antler size:)

RE: If you had to bow hunt a DIFFERENT state, which one???

If I had to move to a differen't state, I'd say Idaho or Oregon or maybe Montana simply because they're the most like Washington. The terrain is pretty much the same so it wouldn't be anything really new to me. I wouldn't really have to learn to hunt a new type of terrain and the animals will have pretty much the same bahavior.

If I had to move to another country, I'd say Africa because I'd like the adventure. it would be something new and exciting, something I've never hunted before.

I live in NY and if I had to move to another state to hunt it would have to be either Kansas, for their huge monster whitetail, or Colorado, for their huge Elk. I think Kansas is winning!

If I couldnt hunt in WV, I'd head to a place where there is a much longer season, and you can bag a ton of deer. Most likely I'd drive 15 minutes north and hunt Maryland. But practicality aside, I'd most likely hunt in the mid west. Illinois or Iowa sounds very good right now. :D

I have always hunted WI but if I had to try somewhere else I would go south to IL and see what everyone is so excited about down there.

South Dakota, because my brother lives there, would be a much cheaper trip. Milk River in Montana a close second.

I hope y'all realize Saskatchewan is not a state! At least, I don't remember us adding any Canadian provences to the Union.[8D]

I think I want to change my vote. I am going with Montana. I can hunt big whitetails there and still have a shot at killing an elk.;)

I live in PA but I would hunt in Idaho Oooh wait I am going there in Sept. :D. That's really a tough question due to each state really being able to produce nice deer to begin with.

RE: If you had to bow hunt a DIFFERENT state, which one???

I hunt here in VA, but have unlimited access to my sister/bro-in-law's 125 acre farm in upstate NY. {Quote-unquote: Sure thing, Butch, anytime you want... bring your bow with you and come up, no problem at all... } :D

But my ultimate place of all where I'd like try hunting is Pennsylvania! They grow some MONSTERS up there! Hey PA hunters... If I'm ever up that way, could I perhaps tag along sometime? ;)

Ohio. I've got friends there and I'm thinking about hunting Ohio next year as well as PA. I've seen a ton of good bucks that have come out of Trumbull and Portage counties.

I don't know if we have many monsters running around, plenty of good bucks. If you're ever in the Warren County area let me know. I'll take you bowhunting for a big woods whitetail....all public land.

I do and that's Maryland and Virginia. They are so over run with deer and I see monsters all the time now. Why would I go anywhere else?
