What part of idaho? North? I am going to try hunting near Wallace, Idaho, for bears in the fall of this year, and next spring.
If you find a good outfitter you should have a good chance to get a P&Y bear.

Try World Class Outfitters. They have great sucess in the Spring Hunting the Selway Bitterroot wilderness.. Jason is a great Outfitter. They harvest a lot of bears not sure of the pope and young size but you can contact Jason at www.Packin.com. I have been going there to fish and Elk hunt for the last 7 years. Great group of guys. Call him.
