Default Upgrade Flatliner w/litestix. ? for Matrix owners

Ok, last night after staring and studying the site body for an hour or more, I drilled it out to take the glow sticks and didn't screw it up. It is really close to the pin locks and really close to fiber optics as well. Being careful not to damage the optics or have a hole that will interfere with the locks was tedious, there is not a lot of room for error at all. Well I thought it turned out great but when I tried it out I wasn't really impressed with the brightness of the pins. That little glow stick was incredibly bright of course but not so with the pins.
Question for Matrix owners: does your glow stick touch against the optic lines? Are you satisfied with the brightness when using the lite sticks? Oh, and how many sticks come with the site and how much are extras? I appreciate the help in advance. Thanks-Later

First of all I really love the sight, but as you have learned the pins don't glow that much.Granted, each fiber optic is several inches long so I have found these sights to glow more than enough in normal hunting conditions. The reason I had planed on using the Nitro light source was when I huntd out of my black-backed Double Bull blind. With these dark blinds you may loose up to 15-20 minutes of shooting time because you can't see your pins. I was a little disappointed by the fact that Trophy Ridges' claim to "no pin halo" actually means "pins glow hardly at all". As far as extra light sticks don't spend the $5 to $8 for 5 sticks when you can buy them from the source for .50 apiece or $22 for 50.

That's where I got my stix, @ $30 for 50 after shipping. I'm no dummy.
I was hoping you'd see this thread.
I was also hoping those sucka's would glow like the dickins, well guess not. I was hoping to get some night practice on days where time and daylight gets away. Flashlight laying by the target and me with my hi-teck site. I'll still have to put it through the paces but my initial impression isn't that great. The friggin litesticks will blind you though, I have to get a nipple cap to fit those sticks to shield my eyes.
So, Cornfed, do your optic lines touch the lite stick or not? And how much did I save on the sticks? Just curious.

My glow sticks did not touch the actual fibers. There wasn't much space there either. try to find a cap for over the end of your glow stick, it will help light the pinsa little better.

Just to let everyone know, you can also remove pins from the site. Pop the black pins in the site body, and you can take out whatever you would like. Kinda of pain to put back together, but it can be done.
