I have a question, do you use a flash? The deer wont want to walk by that tree anymore, since every time they walk by it, there is a big, bright flash of light. It would scare them.

The Owl PF cameras are about $55. The whole set up cost me about $130. The flash makes no difference to the deer IMO so far. I have pictures 1 minute aparts for 10 minutes in the middle of the night - meaning the flash is going off every minute too. And every night they come back, so no, I don't think it bothers them much. Jesses site is as detailed as it gets in building one of these.
