Ok, so I'll be in the market after this season for some new arrows. If you had a $100 bill to flip on a dozen arrows which would you spring for? I'm not a speed freak so weight really doesn't make much difference, I might actually try a heavier arrow next season. I'll be shooting 60 lbs again next year unless I upgrade bows (which I doubt will happen).

I have the cx select, axis and GT Pro hunter. So far the cx and gt's have been about equal. Both can be had for about $100. The cx my pro shop got me were fletched with feathers for $99. The GT I got for $90 and cut and fletched my self.

I know some will say the pro (+-.001) are not worth the extra money for the average hunter. To me I will take every little advantage that I can get.

Maybe I should also say that I cut and fletch my own arrows?

Cx Hunters.....by gametracker 300s are [9.5 gpi] and the 400s[10 gpi]. I opted for the 300 after shooting the 400 which equals a 2314 just for a slite speed bump. But never had a vane strip off or come off....and tuff as any and good shooters. Dont pay any more then a $100 for these - tax.

I just bought a dozen GoldTip Traditional XT bare shafts from Eders. Fletched them with 4" gateway feathers. Barred yellow cock-feather and barred-red hen feathers. They shoot as straight as a stringline. Very impressed. TerryE

Since you asked about carbon arrows only(I do like the ACC's),we'll stick to carbons. The Gold-Tip Pro-Hunters,55-75's,great arrows. The Carbon Express(I have a dozen 3-D Selects-300's)are,IMHO,just OK.Beman makes a good carbon(I shot the Carbon-Hunter 360's for 2 years),tough and straight. The new Easton Axis (300),regardless of what some people have said about these arrows,is what I'm shooting this year.As with any arrows purchase, spin them at the shop you buy them at for the absolut straightest arrows.I personnally did my own penetration test with all the arrows mentioned above, and the Axis's won hands down.It was'nt even close.Good Luck!!...Bob
