Arrow speed (fps) x Arrow speed (fps) x Arrow weight (grains)

divide all of that by 450,240

If you actually want to do the math here is the formula

KE = (weight / 450240) x (velocity x velocity)

It just occured to me that you may have actually wanted the formula

Can I ask why you would do the math formula instead of going to bowjackson.com and punching in your arrow weight and speed and clicking a button. Does it all for you. Same thing right? But hey, maybe I'm lazy. lol

I shoot Beman ICS 400's, 100 grain tip(386gr)...shooting 282fps...68 ft-lbs of KE.

Hazcon I'm guessing your total arrow weight to be aprox 430.2g

You can use the arrow builder on the gold tip website to get your arrow weight.
http://www.goldtip.com Click on arrow builder

You'll know you arrow better than I, I was just trying to get close. A 430.2g arrow @ 237 fps = 53.67 ft/lbs and a foc of 12.54%

I'm getting 234 fps. More than enough to do the job. But I believe that speed is only part of of the equasion.
