Default PSE = Pull, Shoot, Explode

I was out shooting my PSE bow and I heard a loud crack. I looked down and my stabilizer was on the ground. The screw cracked in half, and is stuck in the hole. What should I do? I may be able to drill a hole in the screw and twist it out. I need a new stabilizer, but I don't know which one to get. Thanks

Sounds like a stabalizer problem to me, not a bow problem.

drill a hole in the bolt and insert a easy-out. It should take it out no problem. You can buy easy-outs at the local auto parts store.

I hope it's the stablilzer because if the bow put that much shock on the stablilzer, imagine the limbs! I want a stabilizer that looks like the PSE patterns, not like leaves.

i'd go for less hand shock than cosmetics as far as a stabilizer is concerned. my mathews is realtree Xtra gray and my stabilizer is black. i guess it would look cooler if it was all the same color, but..i'd say you have a bad stabilizer or a defective one. not the bow.

Zak,
That definately sound like a stabilizer problem. Did you buy the stabilizer new from a local shop? If so I think it would be covered as defective. I'd ask the shop to get it out for you if that is the case.

As for suggestions on a new stabilizer. I've had very good luck with the sims modular stabilizer on my pse. My bow wasn't overly loud to begin with but there is a night and day diffrence with and without it.

Sometimes things just have a flaw in them. It also may be your stabilizer took a heck of a whack some where along the way... or you put a little too much torque on it when it was installed. Go for function... not looks. I just have a Sims Enhancer with a heavy short 2 inch stabilizer stuck on the end of it. Quiet bow, perfect balance and no long protrusion on the front of the bow.

I use the sims modular with a Doinker on the end.

I would take it in to the nearest bow shop. Or even a gunsmith.
