Default waiting for morning light..

Has anyone here ever experienced seeing things while sitting on your stands waiting for that morning light to appear. It's like my eyes play tricks on me especialy when you have a moonlit area. for instance i got to my stand last season 2 hours before sun-up against a moonlit background and it was like just ahead of me next to some conifers i could've sworn i was looking at some animal about twice the size of a large deer,,wow,,
.. nonetheless after that sun started to apear it was "gone",,birds started doing there chirps,,chipmunks barking, it's like some strange metamorphisis from moonlight to daylight...and no, i'm not drug dependent and i don't drink while i'm out there.

yeah the early morning light plays lots of tricks.

i have hunted the same 2 stands for over 15 years and i still see things

a couple years ago i could have sworn that someone pitched a pup tent 50 yards from my stand, turns out it was only a pointy rock and a stick laying diagonally on it.

Some accidents are caused that way. Your mind invents a deer for you, you hear a noise, well that's got to be the deer, So you shoot at the noise and , well you get the idea.

BE CAREFULL WHEN YOUR INVENTING STUFF OUT THERE TO SHOOT AT.

Same here except it always seems like there are shadows passing by under my stand. At first I think they are deer but then I don't hear a single sound.

Spooky []

Stop taking acid before you get in your stand.

Same thing here. It seems that every leaf that moves on the low hanging branches is a deers ear. Of course they never are [:'(]

When I was younger, just getting started my mind would always "invent" a deer during the twilight hours. Luckily for me, my Dad was there to assure me that my eyes are playing tricks.

Yea normally you see something and your eyes make you think that its a deer. However i have actually had a deer or two that were actually standing out there and i dismissed the thought of them being deer because i didn't want to feel stupid, then they would start moving, LOL then i really felt stupid
