My PSE bow (remember this style)?
Hey there...
I was finishing up a roll of film in my 35mm camera, and decided to take a photo of my bow, quiver/arrows, and release. What do you think of this simple, common, older style of bow? PSE Edge 1000C lefty compound bow. 65# draw weight, 30" draw length. TM Hunter lefty arrow rest. Shurz-a-peep, peep sight. Tru-Glo 3 pin sights (20,30,40). Flipped upside-down/backwards for lefty. PSE mongoose quiver. A few Easton XX-75 GameGetterII arrows in #2315. Tru-Fire magnum wrist release. The image below shows my lefty bow (everything's on the wrong side)! [8D] ![]() Anyway, what is your opinion on this bow. I like it and am comfortable with it. I can stick the bullseye at 30 yards with no problem. At 40 yards, I am shakey, but can hit the bullseye. At 20 yards, I've ruined the nock's and fletchings on arrows, because I hit them with another arrow. I see all the new bows on the market, and I don't know.... I still like the simple style, everyday, dime-a-dozen, types of bows. Butch A. |

Thats a good bow. If you shoot it good why change?
|
RE: My PSE bow (remember this style)?
I don't want to change (....yet). I just see all the new latest, greatest, bows on the market and see how radically advanced they are compared to mine.
But then, I could probably drive my truck over my bow, pick it up, dust it off, and it will still fire dead straight and true. :) There's something about a heavy, old, 41" ATA dual cam bow. Butch A. |

butch considering Chuck Adams dosn't change bow styles very often I would say your in great company!
Good Luck! |
RE: My PSE bow (remember this style)?
Wait .... what do you mean REMEMBER. That's my back up bow..almost. Mine came before yours, it's an SR 1000. I always have a half dozen broadheads tuned for it. Mine is set at 76 pounds. When I travel I generally haul it along. I shoot it a few times during the year to make sure everything is still in tune. You need to change that release.[&:] I have 125 heads with 2314s.

Looks like my dad's old Martin Prowler we just sold. Was a good bow, but he was in need of a change. Thing had to weigh 8lbs with everything on it. Was a pain in the butt for him to carry around hunting all the time.

Butch,
That pic brings back very fond memories of my thunderflight express that I retired this spring. I shot the bow for 10 years and bought a new PSE in March. I gave the thunderflight to my farther and he'll be hunting with it this fall. The older PSE bows have really stood the test of time and have earned my loyalty. |

You need to change that release. |
