Which stealth cam and what types of batteries? I've never heard of 1 day per set of batteries. I'm not a leading authority on cams but you should be getting more out of your cam.
Clud 9 indicated he's tried the trail imers with good luck. Maybe he'll shime in in a bit.
Cloud, Do you also use the trail timer as just a timer and do you like it for a scouting tool? I thought just a 250 event time would be very useful but others said they had bad luck with them. What are your thoughts?

Double Creek, I get that much with my Dead Deers with just the 2 AA camera batteries and a 9 volt unit battery. The AAs usually last around 8 weeks depending on # of pictures, and the 9 volt lasts 4-8 months.
