Just wanted to add that were hunting in the Boundry Waters Canoe Area.
It sounds like about two portages will get us into some good bulls. A friend of a friend works for the forest service and has been working in the area where we will be hunting. He claims they have spotted a couple of 60+'' bulls and is going to point us in the right direction! 900 lb bull in a canoe? Wow!!! I can't wait!!!

Bird hunt dog! that sounds pretty good 60" bull is one heck of a bull the one in our pic was 45" and about 1200 lbs ,good luck and I'll tell you your in for a lot of work since your portaging . we were lucky he was an easy out for us ,
