Stealth Cam Pictures...
I was going to post my pictures from my stealth cam, but since someone decided to steal my brand new stealth cam [:@], I don't have any pictures to show!!!
Sorry, I just needed to vent, that kind of crap really gets under my skin, why can't people just leave other people's stuff alone!!! |
RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
sorry to hear about that.
I just plain and simply hate theives |
RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
Some people just don't play by the rules. Maybe you'll run into the sleezeball someday setting up your camera. Keep your eyes and ears open.

RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
that really sucks, seems like there too uch of that in central michigan compared to elsewhere.

RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
I have an idea about this - let's see what you guys think.
After setting up my camera, I would walk in front of it with a sign that says" If the person developing this film is not me(MY Name) , please call me at (such and such phone#) and the police - This camera was stolen!! Of course, when I drop off a roll of film I would tell the person developing it what to expect, but if a thief is wanting to see what pictures of "deer" were taken, they would not know that there was a picture of me and my sign on there. Catch my drift????? I think it would be a good idea to take the first 2 or 3 pictures with the sign so that there was a good chance the developers would be able to read the sign for sure and also so that a thief would see there are pictures on there and would therefore be encouraged to take the film in for developing. Curiosity killed the cat!! |
RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
I think I will be doing that with my next game cam! Great idea!!!
|
RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
I have saw your post about this before and think it is a good idea.
I have not yet done it. my camers is out now without the sign. |
RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
Problem with that idear is a lot of the film processers don't even look at the pictures, there doing other stuff as the films rolls off the developer. But it's better than not haveing it on there at all.

RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
I know how you feel! Just last week someone decided to steal my fixed treestand from my favorite spot on MY PROPERTY!! Made me mad as crap also. I was about to purchase a digital stealth cam myself and put it near my stand area, glad I didn't cause it would be gone as well! I just don't get it...

RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
great idea about the sign. my cam is on our own property so im not too worried about anything getting stolen. (knock on wood)
|
RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
That is why I just bought a stealth cam. The cheapest one, Just plain green.
I figure it will get stolen so why spend $500 on the best.I hear the photos are good enough. That is all I need. Just enough to identify the animal. I don't need magazine quality. |
RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
great idea with the sign...u should note that most people send overnight through markets and such. make sure that u not that if there isnt a note in the package with your name and number...call the police. good thinking.

RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
WTF is with people. I'm supprised that this time of year someone got you cam. I almost expect it come the fall when more people are in the woods but this time of year it is mostly die hards in the woods. It's just $#!^y, plain and simple.

RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
man im really sorry to hear that but i know how ya feel my dad had 2 stands stolen in one year we havent put another one out there since then.

RE: Stealth Cam Pictures...
thats just crappy... and how are you supposed tocombat against that crap hapening? you cant really. well my hunting buddy found these heavy duty bike cables! that are about 1/2" thick. we attach two of them together and wrap em around our stands to the tree. they only cost about 2$ each. so for three stands and the homebrew we use 7 :D so for a pice of mind 14$ is all it will cost ya! and keep in mind a bolt cutter wont take these bad boys down you would have to have a good high speed grinder. 1/2" cable and its wrapped in some heavy duty plastick tube. all in all its about 3/4" thick.
i will try to get a picture on here soon so you guys have an idea of what your looking at.. all we are going to do is wrap em with cammo tape, because they are blue and grey! [:@] why doesnt someone make something like this in cammo? i hate theives[:'(] |
