early season is danners with airbobs
snow season is hoffmans packs with the claws

you need the best traction around here or youll end up sliding back down the mountain

Hmm, I've been wearing an old pair of gortex/thinsulate 8" boots. But since my feet and ankles are needing more support and the fact that I will be hunting exclusively on the ground in a variety of terrains, as well as my encounters with rattlesnakes last year, I've decided to go with either the Rockey, Lacrosse or Cabellas tall and water proof snake boots. As of now, the rocky boot in brown is the leading candidate.

Am I the only Wolverine man here? I like their boots. They're light, waterproof and only about $90.

hehe, sorry pro line, mine are wolverines. They've been good boots but are older and offer absolutely no arch support or snake protection.
