Hmm, I've been wearing an old pair of gortex/thinsulate 8" boots. But since my feet and ankles are needing more support and the fact that I will be hunting exclusively on the ground in a variety of terrains, as well as my encounters with rattlesnakes last year, I've decided to go with either the Rockey, Lacrosse or Cabellas tall and water proof snake boots. As of now, the rocky boot in brown is the leading candidate.

LaCrosse Burly for all early season hunting and weather permitting maybe even into mid season.Once she goes cold I put on my Rocky Snow Stalker Extremes....wow, what a cold weather boot, super light weight and extremely comfortable
