Just another poll type thing to make the off season go by a bit faster: What do you have your day pack when you go out bowhunting?

In mine: -Grunt calls-HS True Talker and Knight and Hale Soft grunter for stopping those bucks in bow range
-HS rattle bag, for when antlers are too bulky
-2 or 3 different scents, Code Blue doe in estrous, Rusk Creek doe urine, and tink's buck tarsal scent
-back up release
-pliers, in case something brakes
-nalgene bottle with water or gatorade in it clipped onto the pack itself
-spare headnet
-extra folding knife, i normally carry my short KA-BAR on my belt
-spray bottle of scent eliminating spray
-extra pair of socks
-beef jerky
-pack of gum
-tow rope
-and most importantly, TP

and plus what i added a couple posts down

all in a Cabelas Whitetail Deluxe day pack

I carry a ton of stuff...probably too much, but I belong to the school of thought of better to have and not need than need and not have.

When I get in the truck to go, this is what my pack contains, obviously, as you read, some will be in use etc. in stand.

- seat-of-the-pants harness
- mag light
- haul line
- binocs
- rangefinder
- cell phone
- license, pen, tag holders
- my grandfathers hunting license from 1952 (one of my good luck charms)
- heat packs (big and small)
- granola bars
- two water bottles (I'm always thirsty)
- pee bottle (because I'm always drinking water!)
- a-way grunter
- kodi-pak
- knife sharpener
- assorted James Valley Scents, for the few times a year that I use scents
- back up release
- run of the mill tree pruners
- one tree step to hang my bow on
- digital camera

All of this in a Fieldline mini-pack...not quite a fanny pack, not quite a day pack, but holds a ton of stuff and has shoulder straps which makes it really easy to carry and get on and off.

reading yours i realized all the other junk i have in there...mini mag lite, Streamlight Stylus, heat packs, EZ Hanger, binos, Gerber pruning saw w/ both bone saw and wood saw. im sick of zip saws breaking in the middle of a deer. licenses of course. I read in a magainze that the deer dont mind human urine in the woods unless they actually see you in the act, then they can associate the scent with a paticular predator. I usually just take a leak in an empty Gatorade bottle anyway. oh yeah, full body harness too
