I bought a used bow to try bow hunting. I was told I shoot left handed (my release is on my left hand ). Shooting the bow feels real acward. I shoot with both eyes open and at 10 - 15 yards im spraying arrows on either side of aim point. I know im just learning Fired about only 40 arrows so far.
My question is if your left eye domanite can you still shoot right handed? Any hints that may help me out being a newbie to bow shooting? Or is it pratice makes perfect then practice some more.?
I shoot an older pse bow in 28' draw about 50-55 pounds. was a finger bow that I had an arrow rest adapted to it...not the best.......one finger and uses the plunger for the left side of the arrow rest.
Suggestion greatly apprecated....PS cant afford a new bow right now for this season maybe next season.

Do you use your left hand for everyday use----exp----writing eating
Usually you would pull the string back with your strong arm.
Or are you right handed but left eye dominate ?

Well take the bow back to the shop and tell them you want a good used right handed model.you will definately shoot alot better.Might just have to train yourself to shoot with both eyes open.good luck and have fun
